What we look for in a Franchisee
BUR-HAN® Lawn Care carefully selects its partners in profit. We consider that one of the most important attributes is your desire to succeed. We believe that a key element in our future success will be our willingness to reject applicants who do not meet our selection criteria. Prior experience is not required. In choosing franchisees, preference will be given to applicants who:
- Appreciate the benefits of working on a team and within a proven system of operation
- Are disciplined self-starters with a high level of personal integrity and have the desire to build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Are results-oriented and excited about long-term growth
- Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills
- Will actively work in and manage the franchised business
- Have the funds to invest in the BUR-HAN® lawn care franchise
- Should be able to start within 120 days
The Initial Investment
BUR-HAN® lawn care is a franchised operation that requires an initial investment of around $73,000 depending on a number of factors. This amount includes the initial franchisee fee, the BUR-HAN® lawn care “Start-Up Package”, grand opening promotion, legal, accounting, insurance, travel and accommodation during training. Also included in this amount is approximately $3,000, GST, which is recoverable. The franchise will also require working capital of around $30,000, which can be secured by a line of credit.
The Mutual Investigation Process
We have developed a “Mutual Investigation Process” which allows both parties to exchange information in a sequential manner and proceed at their own pace. During this process you will be required to provide adequate information for us to evaluate your potential as a BUR-HAN® Lawn Care franchisee. At the same time, you will be receiving sufficient information from us about the franchise opportunity that will allow you to decide if you wish to move forward at each stage of the application process.
